¿Qué ocurre con toda la nieve después de una gran tormenta?
En Montreal, hay diez lugares donde la ciudad la deposita. Cada lugar puede contener tanta nieve como 800 piscinas olímpicas. Uno de los mayores vertederos, Angrignon, tiene una montaña de nieve de 30 metros de altura después de una gran nevada. Cada minuto, cinco camiones traen más nieve, y la ciudad está utilizando un 130% más de camiones de lo habitual.
Al final, este lugar tendrá seis millones de metros cúbicos de nieve, que es la mitad de la nieve invernal de Montreal. Los trabajadores utilizan máquinas para hacer más pequeña la montaña de nieve, pero aún así tarda hasta septiembre en derretirse. La ciudad no está preocupada, y por mucha nieve que caiga, siempre se las arreglan.
