El Manchester United inglés ha tenido una mala temporada y ha perdido mucho dinero.
El club perdió 71 millones de libras en los tres primeros meses, frente a los 5 millones del año pasado. El multimillonario Jim Ratcliffe compró casi el 28% del club y ahora está a cargo de las operaciones futbolísticas. El profesor Kieran Maguire afirma que el club perdió dinero por muchas razones. Gastaron 30 millones en costes legales por el acuerdo con Ratcliffe. Ganaron menos dinero porque jugaron menos partidos y no les fue bien en las competiciones. También hubo costes adicionales y más gastos de intereses.
Pero el Manchester United sigue siendo un club famoso, y los aficionados creen que le irá mejor en el futuro. El club tiene un nuevo acuerdo de 900 millones de libras con Adidas. Ratcliffe intentará ahorrar dinero recortando 250 puestos de trabajo y cambiando las normas laborales para mejorar el club.
