Unilever no puede poner en marcha ahora su nueva empresa de helados Magnum porque el cierre del gobierno estadounidense ha paralizado importantes trabajos. La oficina del mercado estadounidense, llamada SEC, no puede comprobar los papeles de la empresa, por lo que Unilever debe esperar.
La empresa de helados quería empezar a vender acciones en Ámsterdam, Nueva York y Londres en noviembre. Pero el retraso no es un gran problema, y Unilever dice que continuará a finales de este año. La empresa seguirá poseyendo alrededor del 20% del negocio.
El cierre ya está perjudicando a otras empresas y a la economía estadounidense. Pero los inversores de Unilever dicen que no están preocupados porque creen que la empresa es fuerte y crecerá en el futuro.
