Un leopardo de las nieves irrumpió en un corral de ovejas en China y comió tanto que no pudo volver a saltar la valla para escapar. Al final se rindió y se tumbó a echar una cabezadita después de cenar. Unos pastores capturaron más tarde al gran felino.
Los leopardos de las nieves son extremadamente raros, incluso más que los pandas gigantes, y son uno de los animales más protegidos de China. Están incluidos en la Lista Roja de Especies Amenazadas de la Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza.
El leopardo medía poco menos de 1,5 m y pesaba unos 100 kg, pero puede llegar a ser mucho más grande. Una vez que los agentes consiguieron que volviera a moverse, lo liberaron en su hábitat natural.
