El Tribunal Superior de Londres está estudiando un recurso de Julian Assange contra su extradición a Estados Unidos por cargos de espionaje.
Los partidarios de Assange afirman que Estados Unidos lo reclama porque reveló documentos secretos estadounidenses. Sus abogados quieren recurrir la orden de extradición dictada por el ministro del Interior británico en 2022. A algunas personas les preocupa que, si Assange acaba en Estados Unidos, pueda pasar el resto de su vida en prisión. Los abogados de Assange consideran que hay mucha política en su caso, y creen que puede perjudicar a los periodistas y a la libertad de prensa.
Si el recurso fracasa, Assange tendrá una última oportunidad: recurrir ante el Tribunal Europeo de Derechos Humanos.
