Japón y China mantienen una disputa política que impide la celebración de actos culturales. Recientemente, China detuvo repentinamente los conciertos de cantantes japonesas como Maki Otsuki y Ayumi Hamasaki, lo que disgustó a fans y organizadores.
El problema comenzó después de que la primera ministra japonesa, Sanae Takaichi, dijera que Japón podría utilizar su ejército si China atacaba Taiwán. China considera Taiwán como su propia tierra y quiere que la Primera Ministra se retracte de sus palabras. Ella se negó a hacerlo. China ya ha tomado medidas contra Japón.
