Israel prohíbe Al Jazeera – nivel 3

Israel ha ordenado la prohibición de Al Yazira, poniendo fin a las emisiones de la cadena de noticias qatarí en el país y al acceso a su sitio web.
La decisión fue tomada por el gabinete de Benjamín Netanyahu, y los funcionarios citaron la preocupación por la seguridad nacional y la supuesta alineación de Al Yazira con Hamás. Al Yazira criticó enérgicamente la medida, la calificó de decisión peligrosa y prometió emprender acciones legales. Walid Omary, jefe de la oficina de la cadena en Cisjordania ocupada, subrayó la intención de obstruir la cobertura del conflicto en Gaza, Israel y Cisjordania.
Este último acontecimiento subraya las continuas tensiones entre Israel y Al Yazira. Anteriormente, la cadena había acusado a Israel de atacar sus instalaciones y a su personal.
