El Archivo de Internet es un grupo de San Francisco que guarda sitios web y otras cosas digitales.
Guarda versiones antiguas de páginas web para que la gente pueda ver cómo eran antes. Esto ayuda a salvar la historia de Internet. El Archivo también guarda libros, música y vídeos. Más tarde, se convierten en archivos digitales.
Una mujer llamada Jessica Peterson perdió sus vídeos online cuando un sitio web del gobierno de EEUU dejó de funcionar. Estaba muy triste, pero volvió a encontrar sus vídeos en el Archivo de Internet.
Algunas personas están preocupadas porque muchas páginas web gubernamentales cambian o dejan de existir. El Archivo está ayudando a salvar estas páginas. Aunque los sitios web ya no existan, la gente puede seguir viéndolos utilizando la Wayback Machine. El Archivo quiere mantener la historia a salvo para todos.
