Green Day consiguió una estrella en el Paseo de la Fama de Hollywood el 1 de mayo de 2025. El acto tuvo lugar en el 6212 de Hollywood Boulevard. Acudieron muchos fans, y se unieron famosos como Serena Williams y Ryan Reynolds.
La banda dio las gracias a sus fans y compartió recuerdos felices. Colaboraron con 7-Eleven y prepararon una bebida Slurpee para celebrar su antiguo álbum Kerplunk. Hablaron de nuevas canciones y de más conciertos. La banda dijo que quieren a sus fans y que están entusiasmados con el futuro.
Green Day empezó en 1986 y se hizo muy popular. En 1994, su álbum Dookie les hizo famosos en todo el mundo. También grabaron el álbum American Idiot en 2004, que más tarde se convirtió en un espectáculo en Broadway. En 2024, su álbum Saviors fue un gran éxito, y realizaron una gran gira mundial.
