El canciller alemán, Olaf Scholz, visitó Solingen, donde un hombre mató a tres personas con un cuchillo la semana pasada.
Scholz dijo que el ataque era un acto de terrorismo, y prometió luchar contra el extremismo. Scholz afirmó que este tipo de ataques son peligrosos para todos. La policía detuvo a un hombre sirio de 26 años, y el grupo terrorista Estado Islámico dijo que era responsable del ataque. En el pasado, el hombre solicitó asilo en Alemania, pero los funcionarios rechazaron la solicitud. Tenía intención de marcharse a Bulgaria, donde llegó por primera vez a la UE.
