Un hombre empotró su coche contra un mercado navideño en Magdeburgo, Alemania. Mató a cuatro personas, entre ellas un niño, e hirió a más de 68.
El incidente ocurrió el viernes por la noche, cuando el mercado estaba lleno de visitantes. El coche entró por un hueco en los bloques de seguridad. La gente intentó ayudar a los heridos mientras la policía y los médicos llegaban rápidamente. El conductor era un médico saudí de 50 años que vivía en Alemania desde hacía 18, y la policía lo detuvo en el lugar de los hechos. La policía confirmó que actuó solo, y no encontraron bombas en su coche. El hombre no tenía antecedentes penales, y la policía desconoce sus motivos para hacerlo.
El líder de Alemania, Olaf Scholz, compartió su tristeza y visitó la zona. Otros mercados de Alemania aumentaron la seguridad.
