Lionel Messi superó a Erling Haaland y Kylian Mbappe y ganó el premio al Jugador del Año de la FIFA 2023.

Aitana Bonmati, campeona del mundo con España, obtuvo el premio a la mejor jugadora femenina. Messi desempeñó un papel clave en la victoria del Inter de Miami en la Copa de la Liga. Se incorporó a la MLS tras conquistar el título de la Ligue 1 con el PSG. Haaland, que realizó una temporada extraordinaria en el Manchester City, acabó segundo. Guardiola, entrenador del Manchester City, ganó el premio al Mejor Entrenador Masculino, y Wiegman, seleccionador de Inglaterra, recibió el premio al Mejor Entrenador Femenino.

Ederson, del Manchester City, y Mary Earps, de Inglaterra, ganaron los premios al Mejor Portero Masculino y a la Mejor Portera Femenina.
