Países candidatos a la UE – nivel 1

Los líderes europeos empiezan a hablar de la adhesión de Ucrania y Moldavia a la Unión Europea. También dicen que Georgia también tiene una oportunidad.

Ucrania quiere ser miembro de la UE desde 2022. El país tiene una larga historia con la UE, de casi 30 años. Moldavia también quiere entrar en la UE. También a partir de 2022. Pero primero, el país tiene que cambiar sus tribunales y acabar con la corrupción. Entonces, podrán empezar a hablar de la adhesión a la UE. Turquía quiere ingresar desde 1999. Pero la UE deja de hablar de ello. Turquía tiene problemas con los derechos humanos.

Hay más países que quieren adherirse. Son Macedonia del Norte, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania y Bosnia y Herzegovina. Se encuentran en distintos puntos de adhesión. Los dirigentes de la UE también dicen que Kosovo podría unirse. No todos los países están de acuerdo. Algunos países dicen que Kosovo no es un país independiente.
