En todo el mundo, un verano de sequía reveló reliquias sumergidas durante mucho tiempo.
El Parque Estatal del Valle de los Dinosaurios, en Texas, EE.UU., ha descubierto huellas de dinosaurios; se conservaron durante millones de años bajo capas de sedimentos, arcilla y piedra caliza. La sequía encogió el río Paluxy, lo que dejó al descubierto las huellas de hace millones de años, y luego, las lluvias volvieron a sumergirlas.
El parque afirmó que las huellas tenían más de 113 millones de años, por lo que podrían ser las huellas más largas hechas por un solo dinosaurio en Norteamérica.
Los responsables del parque afirmaron que muchas huellas aparecían y desaparecían por todo el parque, dependiendo del tiempo. Estas huellas en concreto fueron visibles por última vez hace 20 años.
