Jonathan Paredes y Orlando Duque suelen tirarse desde entre 26,5 y 28 metros en las Series Mundiales de Cliff Diving, pero salieron de su zona de confort al saltar 30 metros al río Zambeze, cerca de las cataratas Victoria.
El río forma la frontera entre Zambia y Zimbabue y las cataratas son las mayores del mundo en profundidad y anchura combinadas. La gente también las llama Mosi-oa-Tunya o el Humo que Truena.
El mexicano Paredes ganó por primera vez una prueba de las Series Mundiales en 2015 y fue segundo en la Copa del Mundo de Clavados de Altura. Duque, de Colombia, tiene trece títulos mundiales y ostenta dos récords del mundo.
