Cuatro niños de una comunidad indígena sobrevivieron milagrosamente a un accidente aéreo en la selva amazónica.
Su madre, el piloto y otro adulto murieron en el accidente. Los niños, de 13, 9, 4 y 1 años, pasaron 40 días en la peligrosa selva. En la operación de rescate participaron soldados, voluntarios y perros de búsqueda. Los rescatadores lanzaron comida desde helicópteros para ayudar a los niños a sobrevivir. Finalmente, el viernes, encontraron a los niños vivos, aunque desnutridos y cubiertos de picaduras de insectos. Probablemente, los niños consiguieron mantenerse con vida gracias a lo que aprendieron de su abuela.
El presidente de Colombia elogió su resistencia y la calificó de alegría para el país.
