Boeing no irá a juicio – nivel 2

Un juez estadounidense detuvo una causa penal contra Boeing tras dos accidentes aéreos en los que murieron 346 personas. El gobierno pidió que se pusiera fin al caso, a pesar de que Boeing ya había roto un acuerdo alcanzado en 2021.

El acuerdo establecía que Boeing debía ser honesta y segura para evitar el castigo. El juez dijo que el gobierno no había conseguido que Boeing asumiera toda la responsabilidad por las muertes. Ambos accidentes se produjeron por un problema en el sistema de control de los aviones. Boeing elegirá ahora a su propio consultor de seguridad, no a uno independiente.

Las familias de las víctimas creen que esto es injusto y peligroso. Creen que será más difícil asegurarse de que Boeing cumple las normas de seguridad en el futuro.
