El dinosaurio más grande – nivel 3

Paleontólogos de Argentina desenterraron lo que dicen que son los restos de uno de los dinosaurios más grandes del mundo.
Según el equipo, los fósiles, hallados en la Patagonia, pertenecían a un saurópodo, un dinosaurio herbívoro cuadrúpedo muy grande con cuello y cola largos, cabeza pequeña y extremidades enormes, y las pruebas iniciales datan los fósiles en unos 90 millones de años.
Los expertos también encontraron un gran número de dientes de animales carnívoros, que les permitirán saber qué tipos de alimentos comía el grupo de dinosaurios, lo que les indicará cómo funcionaba el ecosistema hace unos 100 millones de años.
Los paleontólogos empezaron a excavar el yacimiento en 2013, después de que un empleado del rancho dijera que había tropezado con algunos fósiles, y el equipo espera encontrar al menos siete conjuntos más de restos.
