La autopista Bruce de Queensland es una carretera peligrosa en la que ocurren muchos accidentes. La carretera suele tener un solo carril en cada sentido, lo que provoca muchos accidentes mortales.
De 2018 a 2022, más de la mitad de las 149 muertes ocurridas en la autopista se produjeron en colisiones frontales, cuando dos vehículos chocan directamente entre sí. Las familias de las víctimas piden que el gobierno haga la carretera más segura. Betty Stuart, que perdió a su marido en un accidente, quiere mejoras como mejores carriles en la carretera.
El gobierno prometió gastar dinero en arreglar la carretera, pero la gente cree que no es suficiente. Los conductores dicen que es la peor carretera de Australia y quieren cambios urgentes para evitar que se produzcan más accidentes.
