Australia quiere impedir que los niños utilicen redes sociales como Facebook e Instagram. Algunos políticos afirman que las redes sociales son perjudiciales para la salud mental de los niños.
El gobierno va a elaborar una nueva norma este año. Esta norma dirá qué edad deben tener los menores cuando utilicen las redes sociales. Probablemente será para niños de entre 14 y 16 años. El primer ministro Anthony Albanese dice que los niños deben jugar al aire libre y pasar tiempo con amigos de verdad. Cree que las redes sociales no son buenas para ellos.
Algunos piensan que es una buena idea. Otros piensan que los niños necesitan las redes sociales para hablar con sus amigos.
