Se ha descubierto un perro escondido bajo una mancha de pintura oscura en Le Moulin de la Galette de Pablo Picasso, una obra maestra que el artista español terminó cuando tenía 19 años, en 1900.
Los expertos utilizaron moderna tecnología de imagen en el cuadro, que forma parte de una exposición sobre los años de formación del pintor en París, revelando un perro marrón con un lazo rojo alrededor del cuello. Julie Barten, conservadora jefe de pinturas del Museo Guggenheim de Nueva York, dijo que siempre había tenido la fuerte sensación de que había algo ahí debajo. Comparó al perro con un fantasma persistente, señalando que los espectadores pueden verlo a simple vista si miran con suficiente atención. A lo largo de los años, los investigadores han descubierto múltiples pinturas ocultas en obras del “periodo azul” de Picasso, entre 1900 y 1904.
