La policía detiene en Inglaterra a un joven. El chico sólo tiene 16 años. La policía cree que el chico tala un árbol muy antiguo y famoso.
Este árbol tiene 300 años. Incluso aparece en una película de Robin Hood. En la película actúa Kevin Costner. La policía cree que alguien cortó el árbol a propósito. No es un accidente.
Los habitantes de la zona están muy descontentos. El árbol forma parte de sus vidas. Quieren plantar nuevos árboles como el viejo. Pero pasarán muchos años antes de que crezca otro árbol. Mucha gente dice que no es posible sustituir el árbol muerto.
