En Australia, expertos de la Universidad de Flinders prueban nuevos trajes de neopreno para personas en el mar. Estos trajes ayudan cuando muerde un tiburón.
Las mordeduras de tiburón no ocurren muchas veces, pero son muy graves cuando se producen. El nuevo traje tiene un tejido muy resistente. Ayuda a que la persona tenga cortes más pequeños y pierda menos sangre.
Prueban los trajes con tiburones blancos y tiburones tigre. El nuevo traje es mejor que el normal. Los viejos trajes metálicos son demasiado grandes y cuesta moverse con ellos. El nuevo es más ligero y fácil de usar para los surfistas. Les ayuda a mantenerse seguros en el agua.
