Tres científicos -John Clarke, Michel Devoret y John Martinis- ganan el Premio Nobel de Física. Estudian la mecánica cuántica, una ciencia sobre cosas muy pequeñas como los átomos.

Su trabajo ayuda a fabricar ordenadores cuánticos, que pueden realizar algunas tareas más rápidamente que los ordenadores normales. El premio lo concede la Real Academia Sueca de las Ciencias. Los científicos se reparten 11 millones de coronas suecas por su gran trabajo.

Sus ideas empezaron hace muchos años, pero son muy importantes hoy en día. Ayudan a construir nuevas tecnologías y cambian nuestra forma de vivir y trabajar.
