Un hombre sufría un infarto delante de un hospital en Inglaterra. Cayó al suelo dolorido. Un paramédico que estaba sentado en una ambulancia cercana vio lo que ocurría.
Sin embargo, no atendió al moribundo ni 30 segundos. Entonces el paramédico dejó su ambulancia y fue hacia él. No llevó consigo ningún equipo médico: se limitó a hablar con él durante unos dos minutos. Después volvió a su ambulancia.
El paramédico dejó morir al hombre. Las autoridades ordenaron 240 horas de servicios comunitarios y el paramédico ya no ejerce ese trabajo.
