Un teleférico que transportaba a ocho personas se quedó atascado sobre un barranco en el noroeste de Pakistán. El incidente ocurrió cerca de la ciudad de Battagram.
Un helicóptero militar y equipos terrestres salvaron al grupo, incluidos seis niños. El cable se rompió cuando iban a la escuela. Los rescatadores utilizaron una tirolina para bajarlos a todos y ponerlos a salvo. La operación fue peligrosa, pero el rescate fue un éxito.
La población local llama al teleférico Dolly. Es un medio de transporte importante en la zona montañosa. La gente utiliza regularmente el teleférico para transportarse por la montaña porque no hay buenas carreteras ni infraestructuras.
