El estrecho de Ormuz se abre al tráfico marítimo – nivel 3

El 17 de abril de 2026, el crucero Celestyal Discovery se convirtió en el primer buque de pasajeros en atravesar con éxito el estrecho de Ormuz desde que estallara la guerra entre Irán y EE. UU. en febrero.
Esta vía navegable estratégica, por la que pasa el 20 % del suministro mundial de petróleo y gas, había quedado prácticamente cerrada debido al conflicto y al bloqueo naval de EE. UU. El estrecho está ahora abierto al tráfico comercial mientras dure el actual alto el fuego. Aunque otros barcos han empezado a zarpar de los puertos de Doha y Abu Dabi, la situación sigue siendo tensa.
Está previsto que el alto el fuego de dos semanas expire el 22 de abril, aunque el presidente Trump ha sugerido una posible prórroga si continúan los avances hacia una resolución.
