Algunas personas tartamudean. Un tartamudeo cambia su forma de hablar. A veces no pueden decir algunas palabras. A veces repiten la misma palabra más veces. O hacen pausas al hablar.
Más de 70 millones de personas tartamudean en todo el mundo. El 5% de los niños tartamudean en algún momento de su vida. La mayoría deja de hacerlo. Algunas personas tartamudean toda la vida.
Los científicos dicen que estas personas tienen cerebros diferentes. La situación es muy difícil de cambiar. Además, en una misma familia hay más personas que tartamudean. Es frecuente. Los hombres tartamudean más que las mujeres.
La gente aprende algunas técnicas para hablar mejor. Deben comprender que no pueden cambiar su cerebro. También deben comprender que lo que dices es más importante que cómo lo dices.
