Te presentamos a Morton, un joven de 20 años de Estocolmo. Durante su pausa para comer, recoge snus fresco, un producto de tabaco sin humo muy popular en Suecia.
El snus es una bolsita de tabaco que se coloca debajo del labio. Contiene nicotina. Algunos creen que las bajas tasas de tabaquismo de Suecia, un 5,6% en 2022, se deben al snus. Pero hay un problema con estas bolsitas de nicotina. Mientras fuma menos gente, aumenta el consumo de snus y bolsas de nicotina, sobre todo entre las mujeres. Las bolsitas de nicotina, sin tabaco, son una adicción reciente.
Los expertos esperan que el mercado mundial de bolsas de nicotina alcance los 17.600 millones de dólares en 2029. Hay quien dice que el snus se hizo popular en Suecia gracias a las medidas antitabaco de los años 90.
