El Manchester United, club de fútbol inglés, está en conversaciones para venderse por más de 6.000 millones de dólares a un grupo dirigido por el jeque Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani de Qatar.
La familia Glazer compró el club en 2005 por 1.000 millones de dólares, pero desde 2012 el club no ha ganado ningún título. La familia vendería sus acciones como parte del acuerdo. La oferta qatarí es más preferible que la del multimillonario británico Jim Ratcliffe. Si el acuerdo se lleva a cabo, será uno de los mayores de la historia del deporte. El valor del Manchester United sería más de 10 veces superior a sus ingresos anuales.
