Cada año, la gente transforma papel higiénico en vestidos de novia en el Concurso de Vestidos de Novia de Papel Higiénico de Nueva York. Los diseñadores sólo pueden utilizar papel higiénico, pegamento, cinta adhesiva, agujas e hilo para crear sus obras maestras.
El concurso ofrece un giro más creativo al atuendo nupcial y los concursantes siempre se emocionan al llegar a los 10 finalistas de entre más de mil aspirantes.
En 2016, el vestido que ganó se llamó ”Winter Las”, ya que estaba inspirado en la primera experiencia de tormenta de nieve de la creadora. Las creaciones se expusieron en una de las sedes mundiales de Ripley’s Believe It or Not, una empresa dedicada a objetos extraños e inusuales.
