Uganda está pensando en una nueva ley, y está causando mucho revuelo. Esta ley pretende vigilar a las personas y grupos que reciben dinero del extranjero.

Si se aprueba la ley, a estas personas se las podría calificar de «agentes extranjeros». Hay gente en el Gobierno que quiere aprobar esta ley muy rápido, pero muchos otros piensan que es una mala idea. Dicen que la ley castigará a quienes no estén de acuerdo con el Gobierno. Hay quien piensa que la ley es buena porque ayuda al gobierno a rastrear el dinero. Pero mucha gente tiene miedo. Por ejemplo, un taxista dijo que si no entra dinero extranjero en el país, su negocio se paralizará y no podrá mantener a su familia.

Muchos expertos creen que otros países y empresas podrían no querer invertir en Uganda. Esto podría hacer que todo el país se empobreciera y tuviera menos libertad.
