La representante demócrata estadounidense Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez quiere impugnar al juez del Tribunal Supremo Clarence Thomas e investigar a sus asesores. Hay informes de que Thomas realizó viajes de lujo durante décadas que financió un donante republicano.
Los medios de comunicación informaron de que Thomas aceptó viajes caros del magnate inmobiliario Harlan Crow. Según la ley federal, Thomas tiene que revelar la mayoría de los regalos, pero él defiende los viajes. Afirma que no necesitaba declarar los regalos y que siempre cumplió todas las normas.
