Indonesia es el 5º mayor productor de tabaco. Los menores de 15 años no deben trabajar en Indonesia. Es ilegal. Sin embargo, alrededor de 1,5 niños trabajan en la agricultura. Miles trabajan en plantaciones de tabaco.
Muchos padecen la ‘enfermedad del tabaco verde‘. Se debilitan. Tienen dolores de cabeza. No pueden ir a la escuela. Ayudan a sus familias a ganar dinero. Sólo ganan un dólar al día.
Los grupos de derechos humanos intentan cambiar esta situación. Hablan con las grandes empresas tabacaleras indonesias.
