Oymyakon es una ciudad rusa que, según la gente, es el lugar habitado más frío de la Tierra. Se encuentra en la región siberiana de Yakutia, donde las temperaturas descienden por debajo de 60 bajo cero.
Un hombre afirma que lleva años así, explicando que cuando iba a la escuela, todos los años hacía 60 o 61 bajo cero y ahora permanece así al menos diez días seguidos.
Oymyakon tiene otro récord: el caballo de Yakutia, que es pequeño pero perfectamente formado y muy resistente.
