Más de 10.000 hombres de Aceh, territorio situado en el extremo norte de Sumatra, batieron el récord nacional de la mayor danza Saman realizada simultáneamente.
El Saman es una de las danzas más populares de Indonesia y la UNESCO la reconoció en 2011. La danza de las mil manos la interpretan tradicionalmente los habitantes de Aceh una vez al año para mostrar unidad tras la cosecha.
El Director General de Cultura explicó que el acto es una prueba de que la gente común sigue manteniendo su cultura y que la danza también muestra la tremenda unidad del pueblo.
