La empresa SpaceX desarrolló la Starship para misiones a la Luna y otros planetas. La semana pasada, Starship despegó de un centro de lanzamiento en Texas.
El plan era un vuelo que duraría 90 minutos y luego el cohete aterrizaría en Hawai. Pero poco después del despegue, la nave espacial explotó. A los 2,5 minutos de vuelo, la nave se partió y SpaceX informó de que se había perdido la señal. Ésta es probablemente la razón por la que el cohete se autodestruyó.
Para SpaceX, la prueba era importante para mejorar la nave estelar. La empresa tiene un contrato de 4.000 millones con la NASA y sigue creyendo en futuras misiones a la Luna y Marte utilizando cohetes reutilizables. Era la segunda prueba de la nave tras una explosión en abril.
