En Missouri, EEUU, Xavier Cunningham estaba en un árbol cuando le atacaron unos insectos. Cayó sobre un pincho de carne que se le clavó en el cráneo, pero pasó junto a arterias importantes del cerebro.
Los médicos de la Universidad de Kansas consiguieron extraerlo con la ayuda de unos 100 cirujanos y médicos que ayudaron al niño en las operaciones. Los médicos dijeron que su supervivencia había sido “milagrosa”.
