El Tribunal Supremo de India dice no al matrimonio entre personas del mismo sexo. Esto significa que dos hombres o dos mujeres no pueden casarse legalmente.
El tribunal dice que el parlamento debe decidir al respecto. La comunidad LGBTQ está triste. Esperan una respuesta diferente. Hace cinco años, el tribunal dijo que está bien que la gente ame a quien quiera. Pero ahora es diferente. El partido gobernante dice que las familias indias son sólo maridos, esposas e hijos. Muchas personas preguntaron al tribunal sobre esto en el pasado.
El presidente del tribunal dice que el tribunal no puede hacer nuevas leyes, sólo explicar las antiguas. También dice que ser homosexual no es algo sólo para ricos o gente de ciudad.
