Protestas en el Festival de Cine de Venecia – nivel 3

Woody Allen se enfrentó a protestas y polémicas en el Festival de Cine de Venecia al presentar su 50ª película “Coup De Chance”.
Los manifestantes corearon “no a la cultura de la violación” y se enfrentaron a los agentes de seguridad. Allen, rechazado por Hollywood desde que surgió el movimiento #MeToo, llegó acompañado de su esposa Soon-Yi Previn, que es hija adoptiva de su ex pareja, Mia Farrow. Las acusaciones contra Allen se refieren a abusos sexuales a Previn en la década de 1990, que según él fueron inventados por Farrow. El festival recibió críticas por incluir tanto a Allen como a Roman Polanski, otra figura controvertida. Allen expresó su apoyo al #MeToo, pero también lo criticó por considerarlo tonto en algunos casos. Su película, totalmente en francés, recibió reacciones encontradas. Mientras tanto, la película de Polanski “The Palace” fue muy criticada.
El festival también proyectó la película biográfica de Sofia Coppola sobre Priscilla, la esposa de Elvis Presley, que obtuvo buenas críticas pero planteó preguntas incómodas sobre la relación de Elvis con una adolescente.
