Las imágenes de la cámara corporal de la policía de Seattle muestran al agente Daniel Auderer riéndose de la muerte de una joven. Auderer es también vicepresidente del Gremio de Agentes de Policía de Seattle.
En el accidente estaba implicada la estudiante Jaahnavi Kandula, de 23 años. Un coche patrulla la atropelló y la mató mientras cruzaba una calle cercana al campus universitario. El agente conducía a 119 km/h en una zona de 40 km/h. Las autoridades dijeron que había sido un accidente desafortunado y devolvieron rápidamente al agente a su puesto.
El impactante vídeo muestra a Auderer comentando la edad de la mujer. También dijo que su vida tenía un valor limitado, lo que enfureció a mucha gente. Las autoridades están investigando el incidente. Las imágenes hicieron que la gente se preguntara hasta qué punto era buena y responsable la policía de Seattle.
