El festival demuestra que los perros no son sólo para guardar o comer. El festival se celebra todos los años. Diferentes tipos de perros visten bonitas ropas de muchos colores. Un perro llamado Pasha se convierte en el Perro del Año.
El festival enseña a la gente a cuidar de los perros. También hace que los nigerianos amen más a los perros. Los dueños de perros se reúnen y se divierten juntos.
