Una mujer vio un wombat muerto junto a la carretera en Tasmania. Tras acercarse al cadáver, se dio cuenta de que la bolsa se movía. ¡Había una cría de wombat viva en la bolsa!
La mujer sacó a la cría del cuerpo de su madre. Hacía frío, así que envolvió al pequeño wombat en una toalla.
Otra mujer cuida ahora del bebé. Lo guarda en su sujetador para mantener su temperatura corporal. Además, el lugar se parece mucho a la bolsa para el bebé. Allí permanecerá tres meses.
