Italia y el gas ruso – nivel 2

Antes de la invasión de Ucrania, Italia importaba de Rusia el 40% de su gas natural. Ahora, el país importa menos del 10% del gas de Rusia.

Pero el país ya se está preparando para el próximo invierno y, al mismo tiempo, quiere ser completamente independiente de Rusia. La semana pasada llegó a la ciudad de Piombino el primer barco regasificador. Este barco transporta y almacena gas que se hace líquido. A continuación, transforma el gas licuado en gas de nuevo. Las autoridades creen que este barco ayudará a llevar suficiente gas a Italia el próximo invierno.

Algunos habitantes de la zona no están de acuerdo con el proyecto. Dicen que tendrá un mal impacto en la vida de la ciudad, en la pesca y en el turismo.
