India llega a la Luna – nivel 2

India ha logrado un aterrizaje suave en el polo sur de la Luna con su misión Chandrayaan-3.

Este logro sitúa a India entre un grupo de sólo unos pocos países que hicieron algo parecido, entre los que se encuentran Estados Unidos, la antigua Unión Soviética y China. El módulo de aterrizaje Vikram de la agencia espacial india ISRO aterrizó según lo previsto a las 18:04 hora local. La nación lo celebró, y el primer ministro Narendra Modi expresó su orgullo. Las autoridades dijeron que este éxito era el resultado del duro trabajo de generaciones de científicos.

El rover llamado Pragyaan explorará la superficie de la Luna y realizará estudios científicos. Los científicos quieren obtener datos e imágenes importantes, especialmente sobre el hielo con base de agua. Esto es importante para una posible habitabilidad humana y para las próximas misiones espaciales.
