Los hipopótamos son animales agresivos, fáciles de asustar y muy peligrosos. La gente puede utilizarlos para peleas. En Rusia, sin embargo, hacen trucos en un espectáculo de circo.

Un circo tiene tres hipopótamos. Dan vueltas, saltan e incluso juegan a una versión real de los Hipopótamos Hambrientos. A veces se acercan a la gente, pero no tienen miedo.

Los hipopótamos están totalmente adiestrados. No se utiliza la fuerza física con ellos.
