Los olivicultores griegos lo están pasando mal. El tiempo es malo este año. La cosecha de este año puede ser un 50% inferior a la del año pasado.
Los precios de las aceitunas y del aceite de oliva están subiendo. Por eso, los ladrones roban más. Panagiotis Tsafaras cultiva aceitunas. Controla sus olivares dos veces al día. Quiere detener a los ladrones. En un incidente, los ladrones robaron más de una tonelada de aceitunas. Este problema es nuevo en la zona. Los cultivadores empiezan a utilizar cámaras y GPS para vigilar sus aceitunas. Los ladrones vienen por la noche. Son muy silenciosos.
La policía griega dice que este tipo de incidentes se producen en todo el país. Grecia es el tercer productor de aceite de oliva del año.
