Dominique Pelicot, de 71 años, declaró que drogó y violó a su esposa Gisèle durante más de 10 años. También invitó a otros 50 hombres a violarla mientras estaba inconsciente.
Ante el tribunal, dijo que era un violador como los demás. Los hombres dijeron que pensaban que era un juego sexual organizado por Pelicot y Gisèle. Gisèle pidió que el juicio fuera público, aunque tenía derecho a permanecer en el anonimato.
