Rishi Sunak es el nuevo Primer Ministro británico. Quiere detener a las personas que llegan ilegalmente a Gran Bretaña en pateras. La mayoría proceden de Afganistán, Irán y Siria. Llegan a la costa sur de Inglaterra. El año pasado llegaron 45.000 inmigrantes. Es un 500% más que dos años antes. Gran Bretaña necesita la ayuda de Francia.
La semana pasada, los dos países llegaron a un acuerdo. Gran Bretaña pagará 577 millones de dólares a Francia. Francia construirá un centro de detención. Es un lugar para las personas que llegan ilegalmente a un país. Francia tendrá más agentes y mejores tecnologías para mantener seguras sus playas.
