Se han descubierto en Gran Bretaña las huellas humanas más antiguas de Europa. Sólo hay otros tres conjuntos de huellas más antiguos y están en África.
Los científicos tomaron fotografías digitales de las huellas y crearon una imagen en 3D a partir de ellas. Las imágenes y el modelo se dieron a conocer en una conferencia de prensa en el Museo Británico de Londres. Los científicos creen que la mayoría de las huellas son de niños. También había al menos una de adulto.
Los descubrimientos de huellas de hombres antiguos son extremadamente raros. Los científicos afirman que el descubrimiento reescribirá nuestra comprensión de la ocupación humana de Gran Bretaña y Europa.
